In-person and hybrid conferences
Run conference night in the building, by video, or let each family choose — and tell families where to go.
A conference has a Meetings happen setting: Video, In person, or Parents choose (video or in person).
Video (the default)
Every meeting is a video call in the browser. Parents get a Join button 15 minutes before their time; teachers run the evening from the Meeting Room. Nothing to set up.
In person
Families come to the school. When you create the conference, fill in Where — the building, entrance or general directions ("Main building, enter by door 3"). Then open the conference and, in the Rooms for in-person meetings card, put each teacher's room. Both appear in every confirmation and reminder email, on the parent's bookings page and in their calendar feed.
In-person bookings have no video room and no Join button. Teachers see an In person badge instead, and the Schedule grid and reports mark them too.
Parents choose
Both at once. Each family picks By video or In person when they book (the office picks for phone bookings). Fill in Where and the rooms as above; families who chose video never see them.
Changing your mind
You can switch a conference's mode after publishing. Bookings already made keep how they were booked, so if you move an evening from video to in person, ask families to rebook or have the office update them.
